I just listened to the YouTube Panthea presentation, and while I was listening, I checked through a few resources – but I couldn’t find anything that associated the metals with the 15 stars. I’m a very well seasoned astrologer, and have most of the regular grimoires and a good deal of other occult literature, but if you could help me out on this, I’d appreciate it.

The Liber Hermetis associates gemstones with the 15, but you have to dig a little deeper to figure out metals.
The first insight comes from connections stars have with particular planets. Usually a star, as per Ptolemy, will have virtues associated with two or more planets. In some instances one planet is more dominant than the other, and in some instances Ptolemy and other authors note that only the color of the star is associated with a particular planet rather than its virtues.
That’s why it was particularly easy to figure out Antares; it’s Martial and Jovial, but even the name indicates a strong predisposition towards the former. Furthermore, it’s in a constellation which has overwhelming associations with injury, penetration, and poisoning– qualities far more Martial than Jovial. That is why it is logical to use iron as a metal for Antares.
Sometimes it’s unclear, however, what metal to choose. Fortunately, there’s no one single metal correspondence to any fixed star (or planet either, if you read the right sources.)
Now, the Liber Hermetis indicates that Lunar conjunctions are critical for the creation of stellar talismans. That strongly implies that silver can be used as an acceptable metal for many of these talismans.
Picatrix by contrast indicates that the fixedstars are *all* the handmaids of the Sun. And when you think about it, that makes sense. The fixed stars have a commanding role similar to the Sun, but unlike the six remaining planets the Sun and fixed stars do not reflect and refract light but generate their own illumination. It is clear from this that the ancients were reasonably sure that the Sun was actually a star at very close range, because of this hint that they share natures. There are also indications in the Greek Magical Papyri that some of the spirits of the stars are Solar in nature, though not necessarily all. This would suggest to me that gold is a thoroughly viable metal for fixed stars.
In practice, what I do is focus on gold and silver because they’re more durable than lead, copper, and tin and easier to work with iron and brass. I tend to lean towards gold when the fixed star is warmer, more masculine, and assertive; and go for silver when the talisman is more receptive, reactive, passive, cooler, more feminine, or protective.

I listened to your “About Time – Introduction to the Horoscope Chart at ConVocation 2017” and heard you make a passing mention to calculating a prizefighter chances of winning via astrology (@ 1:15:38 of the video). How would you go about doing that? I was trying with horary but couldn’t get anywhere with it. I think it’s likely you need medical help. I’ve rarely seen any system of magic which can implement that level of control over anyone. Vodou is an especially unlikely candidate.

Hey there good sir. I was watching some of your YouTube videos and I found them extremely interesting, but I had some follow up questions regarding electional astrology, mainly a good source on learning the system itself. I’ve found quite a few books on Amazon but I’d rather get a get a good reference from you than investing a lot of money into some books that might not be up to par. While I disagree with some specific details, I got my start by studying under Christopher Warnock at http://www.renaissanceastrology.com/ and I can thoroughly endorse him as a teacher. As for books, start off with The Discarded Image by C.S.Lewis, Secrets of Planetary Ritual and Secrets of Planetary Magic by Chris Warnock, and his Electional Compilation which is available on his website. Best of all, buy his digital Astrological Magic Class, which is expensive but worth every penny — and includes a small library of books in PDF form.

Do you run online classes on practical magic topics?
I’m particularly interested in getting better at protection and aggressive defense magic, (beyond the Hoodoo roots,oils and powders path).. Might you happen to have an Algol talisman for sale? Or better yet, teach people how to make them?

I don’t teach classes currently, except for my blog posts and YouTube videos. I try to make information freely available whenever possible but charge for services.
If you have a specific goal in mind I may turn it into a short video or blog post at some point.
I don’t think Algol talismans are particularly useful for attack or defense under most circumstances. I mostly have used them for healing in the past, and no longer use them for myself at all.

Hi Clifford! I would like to know, for the creation of Astrological Talismans, if it were on a Gemstone or Metal, would it decrease the effectiveness of it if you were to glue something onto the gemstone so that it can be worn? (Although, not drilled into). And, on engraving into the stone, should the image and words be visible to the eye?

It’s pretty normal for gemstone talismans to have herbs glued underneath the stone, up against the skin of the finger. The image and words can be visible or otherwise; I prefer being discreet.

I’m not sure I understand your question but it’s normal to glue herbs under a gemstone ring to activate it. The image should not be visible, though it is permissible if it is unavoidable.

Hi Clifford! Sorry I didn’t response to your previous answer, I still wanted to give a response to it. But thank you for these responses. Since the initial answer, I did create a talisman which only had barely visible markings on it, and I was shocked by its power! I did not glue any herbs or anything to it, but I was not worried about that aspect here. I’ve also been placing more emphasis on faith and the will in practice going from the Picatrix.
